Jen W. Johnson
I believe in transformation. As far back as I can remember, I have been driven by the pursuit of transformation be it personal, human, organizational, or global.
Many associate the word "process" with "bureaucracy", but for Jen the word is exciting because she believes that with the most efficient, effective, and meaningful procedures in place, organizations and teams can be free to focus on the content of their work and make a lasting impact in their field.
As head of operations, she cultivates the collective's people and processes for Sonder's mission, vision, and values to thrive. The opportunity to work with and learn from a team of people that are grounded in learning, courage, fairness, and humanity is rare, and she is happy to contribute to it.
Born and raised in the USA, Jen studied in Spain, lived and worked in India, where she spent 10 years developing and directing international education programs, including a social good startup that started in Bangalore and grew to serve 7 metropolitan areas pan-India. She also lived for nearly 5 years in Finland, where she coaches entrepreneurship, internationalization and growth at the local university practiced as a leadership coach for female entrepreneurs and women in leadership prior to joining Sonder operations. Jen now lives in New York City and loves sharing a walk in the Park or stroll through a museum with visiting Sonder collaborators and clients!
