Njuhi Chege
I believe that we’re all in this together. Figuring it out and working together.
Njuhi Chege has ten years of experience in project management, qualitative research and grant management. Her experience spans the Middle East, Anglophone Africa and the USA, and she has a background in International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
Njuhi has led countrywide social impact campaigns, including production of a radio show which helped improve the sexual reproductive health outcomes of vulnerable adolescent girls in Western Kenya and an online series that cultivated the potential political leadership of women and girls in Kenya. Her superpower is listening and working with people in strengthening opportunities for the transformation of their communities.
Her work with diverse communities in Kenya has taken her on adventures working with UN Women, Independent Television Service (ITVS), Well Told Story and Festival for African Fashion and Arts. She has also managed projects funded by: Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID, Ford Foundation, and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation among others.
Njuhi joined Sonder for the opportunity to rally a broad spectrum of global and community stakeholders to support community-led strategies which spur on positive impact, and aid in poverty eradication, youth empowerment, and peace-building.
