Victoria da Costa
I believe graphic design is a way of visualizing ideas and concepts by offering them a playground—a space with its own visual rules and harmony—guided by honesty, collaboration, research and active listening.
Victoria da Costa is an Argentine graphic designer who graduated from the University of Buenos Aires (FADU, UBA). She enjoys creating visual languages through various design tools, including illustration and infographics, to translate complex ideas into compelling graphic universes. She views visual language as a fundamental means of communication and understanding. She approaches her work as a blend of research, intuition, and exploration.
With experience in agencies, she now works full-time as a freelancer, collaborating on projects that create a positive impact, as well as those in the arts, music, and cultural industries. Beyond making complex concepts visually accessible and resonant, she enjoys connecting design with art by experimenting with materials, analog techniques, and printing methods, as well as exploring movement in images through alternative processes. She is also a teaching assistant in Level 3 Design at the UBA, where she has refined her communication skills, guided students through their creative processes, and learned from them how research and visual design are deeply interconnected.
She joined Sonder in 2023, leading the rebranding of the collective and developing illustrations, editorial design, presentations, and other internal design needs. She was drawn to Sonder by the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded people who share her belief in design as a tool for positive impact, within respectful and thoughtful processes.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, and being surrounded by nature. She also enjoys photography, journaling, and drawing as a way of preserving memories.
